Vegan pulled mushroom

Ingredients

  • 150 gr oyster mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 drops liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp mushroom soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Prevent the screen from locking

1. Pull the oyster mushrooms in thin strips with a fork 2. Put soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha in a mixing bowl and stir it together. Optional is to add liquid smoke and special mushroom soy sauce if you have it available. 3. Add the mushroom chunks and mix it so that all pieces are covered with the marinade. 4. Leave it marinade for at least 10 minutes and heat up some olive oil in the frying pan. 5. Throw in the mushrooms and let it steam with a lid for 10 minutes. 6. Take off the lid and fry the shrooms on medium fire until the liquid is evaporated and the chunks have darkened, while turning them once in a while. Tip 1: Delicious with guacemole, kimchi and/ or hot sauce in a pita or taco! Tip 2: You can substitute the oyster for other mushrooms like champignons.
